Getting to Know Your School Counselor

All About Mrs. Jenkins:

Welcome all students and families!  I grew up in Montgomery County and earned my Early Childhood Education degree from Virginia Tech.  Go Hokies! Growing up my passion has always been working with children and understanding the whole child.  I began my career with MCPS teaching 2nd grade.  After graduating with my Master's in School Counseling from Johns Hopkins I transitioned into being your proud School Counselor here at Woodfield ES.

My husband and I have three sons and live in Urbana with our dog Rocky.  We love to go to Virginia Beach and Nags Head in the summer.  Our family enjoys camping, watching football, playing sports, traveling, and being with family & friends.  We are always on the go, but love a good movie & game night at home!

I am here everyday to advocate for students and their families.  I work to empower, make connections, and build trust to strengthen social emotional skills and make positive changes.  I look forward to working with you and learning ways I can support your child with any social, emotional, and academic needs.  I am available every school day and throughout the summer.  Please reach out to me anytime on my direct line at 240.207.2526 or feel free to email me.
